Minesoft was established in 2008 by a group of mining professionals, specifically to develop software products for mineral resources, and has since grown its services across various others industries.  Over the years Minesoft has acquired internationally recogonised clients and positioned itself as a leader in innovative software solutions. Training and support is Minesoft's primary focus, ensuring that end-users are proficient in the software and are using it to its fullest.  Minesoft offers 24/7 support due to the nature of our software and having clients in different time zones around the world, and prides itself in service excellence.

 

Global Footprint

 

Minesoft has clients across globe and operates a 24/7 support desk for clients in different time zones.  Due to the nature of our business we are able to work and assist clients and users remotely, however we do travel to our far away sites regularly.  We have clients throughout South Africa and the rest of Africa, with a major focus in West Africa, specifically Ghana.  Offshore we have operated in Australia, Canada, Europe, Peru, and the United States of America.  We have consultants in our partner and associate network around the world for support and consulting purposes.

 

Our Team

 

Our team consists of a 50/50 split of software and mining professionals, in order to ensure that our software is not only well designed from a technology point of view, but also in terms of providing effective solutions for the complex business and science of mining.  We have also launched an internship program that employs graduates and junior developers, developing their skills through a mentorship program, empowering them and rapidly developing their careers.  Through our associate network and partner companies we have access to a variety of mining skills, including geologists and resource geologists, geo-statisticians and mining engineers etc. 

 

Charles Muller, Managing Director

 

Charles Muller, the company's Managing Director, is a world renowned resource geologist who has been instrumental in several mining projects around the world, with experience in all commodities and mining methods, and the driving force behind the design of the software.  Charles has over 20 years of experience in consulting, and is the competent person and qualified person on numerous major mining operations for leading mining companies, who depend on his vast expertise for investment in their projects.   

 

Travers le Roux, Technical Director

 

Travers le Roux, Minesoft's Technical Director, has been with the company since its inception in 2008, and is responsible for all aspects of software development and information technology.  He has extensive experience in mineral resource management, specialising in geology and geostatistics.  His key technical skills include business and system analysis, software architecture, databases and data analysis, programming, quality assurance and control, implementation and training, support and maintenance, and the management of software development projects.  Travers has been a key resource on several mining operations around the world.

 

Daan van Heerden, Director

 

Daan van Heerden, a well known mining engineer, serves on the board of directors at Minesoft, and also has his own group of companies that consults in mining.  As a natural leader and strategist, Daan's role in the business is to provide executive guidance, corporate governance, general business development and assist in project management.  Well known for conceptualising the world famous golden hand of Nelson Mandela, Daan has made his mark on the global mining community.  He is also involved in taking mines from greenfields to production, and securing investors.
